Good Night...!!!

Dear friends/readers...

I am pleased to introduce a new talanted poet Reena Prasad through my blog. Her compostions are amazing and worth to keep. We can clearly feel her passion towards poem through her each work. I can see a great poet in her. It is my honour that I am able to post her poems here and make my blog more appealing.

This poem 'Good Night' one of my favourite poem amoung all her poems beacuse of the delicacy it holds, everytime I read this poem it gives me a feeling of lullaby. I feel like to going back to my childhood days...Hope you all will enjoy this poem as I do...Plz be free to give comments..

Thanks..
Illusion..

Sleep easy tonight, my darling
The wind no longer knocks at the door
Soft are the wave’s whispers
Arising today from the ocean floor.

Sleep in peace, for it is twilight
The play ground is empty tonight.
No leaves rustle in the breeze
Even the birds are eerily quiet.

Sleep like a baby, on angel wings light
Safe, for a mother holds you tight.
Let gentle dreams carry you to your destiny
on an ethereal, sojournic flight.

Sleep for eternity ,my love, never fear
For its only death, come in sleep’s disguise.
Sleep in the darkness of tired eyelids

till the soul reaches yet another paradise.

The chosen one

'This poem is another touchy elegant composition by same poet Reena. She is a mother of 2 lovely kids and a wonderful human being too..I feel proud to post her poem here for my readers..

The afternoon breeze had a graceful sway
A little flower was on its way
It peeped out of its curly whorls,
smiling as the playful air rubbed its nose.
The ocean above was too far away
but other tiny buds were willing to play
Bathing in freshness of youth’s vigor,
the essence burst from its own fragrant core
 Soon its fledging petals arrived
like the fairy wings on butterflies
 Never envying the floral giants
that stood tall with royal pride,
the fledging coral-flower saw shy dreams
of being a jewel on a radiant bride.

Cruel was the monsoon ‘s tyrant gale,
it chose the very afternoon to arrive
The quivering, little flower was dashed
on earth’s grassy bosom, still alive
Sobbing tears broke its tender heart
It rued its miniscule, transient life
Why did God make it blossom
 Only for misfortune to strike?
The green grass fed it sweet raindrops
till a little girl came with a brass basket
And collected the newly fallen coral-blossoms
Lo ! temple bells rang and God smiled
as holy hands smelling of sandalwood
placed the flower reverently at his lotus feet!
