One of the
best novels of Sydney Sheldon, a Story based on 3 lady doctors who are the
protagonists. It is mesmerizingly engaging with the twists and turns that made
it a mystery thriller that makes reader turn pages one after one with a steady
interest. Sheldon has technically researched and spontaneously narrated each
incident specially the hospital atmosphere is
described aptly. He has high lighted the capacity of the doctor to smile
midst of the high pressure job they carry in their services. The characters are structured beautifully; he has given classy touch to each. The story has
its share of love hate friendship that exists in the real world. It shows the
human side of doctors, unlike common belief that they are God. Often they too
are torn apart by the very emotions, tribulations and s6uffering like all other
normal people. It handled well some
sensitive subjects like euthanasia and the value
of hippocratic oath. Above all the title ‘Nothing Lasts Forever’ reminds us the
great lesson of life. In life neither good nor bad things lasts forever which
made one of the favourite personal punch line since I read this book.
