Soul Mate..!

Having a 'Soul Mate' such a wonderful thought.....!!! we all must have been secretly longing for a soul mate in our life. And we keep on searching that in our relationships . But as we understood your soul mate need not be your husband or lover — a past life relation, a distant pen friend or an old crush may hold the key to your soul, here it discovers thru few example of incidents.
RAGINI folds the creased letter and glances into an auburn skyline. A poignant pause ensues. “The letter's from Adam Hill… he’s my soul mate,” she rushes to finish, catching her breath to add, “I don’t know if you’ll understand.” In the complex maze of urban humanity, a 30-yearold, married software geek is claiming a cosmic connection with an Australian mountaineer she’d met as a young woman of 20 on an exchange programme. “He’s much older and was engaged to his present wife when we met. On the night of our farewell, an Australian friend introduced us. Something unspoken transpired as we talked for the rest of the night,” says Ragini.

Ragini’s story is distinct as she remains physically distanced from her ‘soul mate’, “happily married” as she claims. “A lot of people are curious about my sexual equation with Adam. He completes me, he’s my twin soul and I feel closest to him,” she adds. Tarot card expert Sunita Menon explains, “We like to romanticise the concept of a soul mate as only one’s spouse or lover. But the soul has seven multiple births and you can share more than one soul mate in a lifetime. It could be anyone with whom you share a deep bonding, bordering on telepathy.”

Author Kunal Basu, whose poignant tale The Japanese Wife, explores the intimacy between a Bengali school teacher (Snehamoy) and a Japanese woman (Miyage) through love letters believes, “Twin souls have their own communication, even if others find it difficult to comprehend.” Menon narrates another surreal saga. “One of my clients loved a woman from another community with whom he couldn’t get married due to family pressure. Years later, he bumped into his ex at an airport and there was an instant spark. His wife, tired of his perfunctory attitude towards their marriage suddenly agreed to a divorce as he ended up with his ex,” says Menon. “It’s the playing out of a karmic connection. Sometimes, recognising your soul mate takes a fleeting second. At others, it may take years and numerous complications,” adds fellow tarot card reader Poonam Sethi.

Thirty-four-year-old oncologist Dr Krishna Reddy recalls how as a 23-yearold intern at a Coimbatore hospital he’d developed a ‘surreal intimacy’ with his first patient — an 18-year-old cancer patient Malati. “The pain of being unable to save her lasted till I resorted to past life regression which revealed that in my second life I was a woman whose daughter was brutally murdered. Every birth thereafter, I’d met her in some form as she came to me craving to be saved,” avers Dr Reddy.

Dr Yogesh Choudhary, director, Indian Institute of Hypnotherapy explains, “Twin souls are fragments of the same soul who inhabit two different bodies and encounter similar life experiences in diverse environments till they merge, before retiring to the spiritual realm.”

Be it a hurried brush past a stranger at a cafe, a sustained friendship, a heady love escapade or the pathos of a loved one lost — the soul continues to find its path back. Touching lives and living beings along its journey. From time to timelessness. Towards its mate — the keeper of its conscience.

So I wish all readers and friends who would able to find their soul mate in this journey of life...Good Luck!!

Keep Life Simple....Else....!!!!

We all see that gadgets are conquering the market everywhere like never before. New improvised gadgets are hitting the market on daily basis and people are crazy to buy them at any cost. Because many blindly believe that material things can give them happiness so they chase to possess them. Apart from that it has become the style statement of luxury living.

How many gadgets modern technology has blessed us with! Yet, they only seem to add to the stress and tension of our lives. I have seen young men and women walk down parks and green lanes with earphones completely shutting out the world of beauty around them. When our life becomes complicated with power and possessions, we move farther and farther away from the simple joys and pleasures of life.

In actual we are blessed with lots of freely available simple joys of life around us.But we hardly experience any of them, like the freshness of a brand new day, the beauty of a sunrise, the glamour of a full moon night amidst blinking stars, birds singing, the pleasure of seeing dew drops on flowers/landscapes, smile on a kid's face, the playfullness of a pet, and how many more..

These days everyone's life become so fast that we loose the best moments of our life without even realising it.Day by day We drift away from the state of childlike innocence and simple joy, which is our basic nature. Our life is getting more machanical and all are deriving pleasures mostkly from luxurious gadgets than natural simple pleasures of life.

Everyone knows that life is at its best when it keep it simple and stress free. That is the only way one can help to reduce stress and tension. Possessions and acquisitions may seem marvellous and give momentary pleasures. But not being able to get them often makes any miserable which urge us to chase for more. The worst part about wanting material things are, after a while, you do not own them, they own you.

Simplicity is not self-denial. It is a return to those values that matter most in life. It emphasises spontaneity and helps us to rediscover the feeling of wonder and joy that we have lost as adults. Simple things can actually give greater pleasure.

Try To Keep Life Simple And You’ll Be More Happy..!

Whose Wallet Is This...????

A ticket collector in a train found an old worn our wallet in a compartment full of people. He looked inside to find out the name of its owner. There was no clue. All that there was in it was some money and a picture of Lord Krisna. He heltd it up and asked "who does this wallet belong to?"

An old man said."That's my wallet. Sir, please give it to me." The ticket collector said, "you will have to prove that it is yours only then I can hand it over to you." The old man, with a toothless smile, said."It has a picture of Lord Krishna in it."
The ticket collector said, "That's no proof, anyone can have a picture of krishna in his wallet." "What is special about that?" Why is your picture not there in it like most normal people?"

The old man took a deep breath and said, Let me tell you why my picture is not there in it. My father gave me this wallet when I was in school.I used to get small sum of pocket money then.I had kept the pictures of my parents in it.

"when I was a teenager I was greatly enamoured by my good looks. I removed my parent's picture and put in one of my own.I loved to see my own face and my thick black hair. Some years later, I got married. My wife was very beautiful and I loved her a lot.I replaced my picture in my wallet and put one of hers. I spent hours gazing at her pretty face.

"when my first child was born, my life started a new chapter. I shortened my working hours to play with my baby. I went late to work and returtned home early too. Obviously, my baby's picture occupied the prized position in my wallet."

The old man's eyes brimmed with tears as he went on. "My parents passed away many years ago. Last year my wife too left her mortal coil. My son, my only son is too busy with his family. He has no time to look after me.

"All that I had ever held so close to my heart is now far, far away from my reach. NOw I have put this picture of Krishna in my wallet. It is only now that I have realised that HE is the eternal companion. HE will never leave me. Alas ! If only I had realised this before. Had I had loved only LORD all these years, with the same intensity as I loved my family, I would not have been so lonely today!"

The ticket collector quietly gave the wallet to the old man. When the train stopped at the next station, he went to a book stall at the platform and asked the sales man. "do you have any pictures of GOD?" I need a small one to put in my wallet!"

Nothing lasts forever...our true forever companion is ourself only...and the ultimate solace one can have from God only...!!!

You Learn..!!!

After a while you learn the subtle difference, between holding a hand and chaining a soul. You learn that, love doesnt mean eternity and company doesnt mean security. You begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts and presents aren't promises. You begin to accept your defeats with the grace of as man not as a grief of a child. You learn to build all your roads on today because tomorrow's grounds is too unceratin for plans, and futures have a way of falling down in mid flight. After a while you learn that even sunshine burns if you have too much so you plant your own garden and decorate your own soul instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers. And you learn that you really can endure that you really are strong and that you really do have worth. You learn and learn with every person you meet or mingle, you learn with every friend or lover, You learn with even every goodbyes you do with tears...

Medow Flowers...!!!

Little things seem nothing, but they give peace, like those meadow flowers which individually seem odorless but all together perfume the air. I like to see flowers growing. A heavenly experience to see them and feel them. But...their likeness to life makes me sad. Because they get plucked so I cant help looking at them as things rootless and perishable and cease to please. How sad ??........

An Open Secret..!

We all know basically human beings are so curious to know about any secret in any given time. So how it would be like, if I let you all know a secret of our life?..Interetsing..?

But the problem is I am bit confused whether it is really a secret or an open secret.Well friends, I am fully convinced that it is no longer a secret. So I would rather like to call it as 'An Open Secret'. However I dont want any of you to agree with what I believe in. As you go through this post you can decide whether it is a secret or an open secret according to your opinion. Now let me get into the topic slowly..

We all know our life is a big journey and it is somewhat like this. Journey from 'Once Born Innocence' to 'Twice Born Wisdom'.During the transition we have to go through lots of hardships. And we use the experience of our difficult times to help us grow wisely. In due course, while dealing with life's situations, we assume that our problems are unique and worst when compared to others and unfortunately we are the only one who left with all tragedies and miseries.

Mean while, in our day to day life we meet lots of people from all circles. In that, some are relatives and friends, and few are just acquaintances. Upon meeting we all used to exchange few formal pleasantries like 'How are you?', 'How are kids & husband'?,'How is job going on?’ etc..Most of the time we say/hear the same response from everyone that 'Everyone or Everything Is Fine'. It clearly indicates as if everyone is admitting to have a nearly perfect life without any visible problems.

But many at times it is not the accurate representation of our actual lives. We feel embarrass to say others that our life is not reaching anywhere/ job often feel meaningless / the move to a city/country was not a wisely taken decision etc.. We don’t opt to say the truth because we don’t want to appear sad, weak, confused & depressed. So we feel it’s wise to keep ourselves under wraps. The result of hiding the truth from others is that we give wrong signals to others due to which all used to wonder about others that how come others’ life, family, marriage, job works so well without any problem, where as why all the time I have to deal with one problem or the other..

The irony is that in this scenario we all are safeguarding 'A Secret' from everyone, which we don’t realize often. A secret not so bad, but subtle and pervasive one. Sound rubbish..? But not..!!! In reality no one is having a smooth life as confessed. Hence the lie we say is not a secret but an open secret.

Despite having lot giftedness, internally we each one is so vulnerable and insecure that everyone longs for constant reassurance and sense of appreciation and acceptance from others. Mean while we forget ‘our birth right’ to have real opportunity to live fully, with passion and profound satisfaction. Under wrong perceptions when we shut ourselves from others..our pain, fear and desires in the absence of company became alienation envy and competition.

Needless to say we are unaware that there is a compassionate world accessible to us. If you are willing, you will come to know the true magnificent that awaits you. The door to heaven openings starts with the door to your own secret self. See what happens when you offer to another a glimpse of ‘Who you really are’. Many might feel it is easily said than done, but my friends nothing is impossible, if there is a will there should be some way..

So whoever wants to try just start slowly without getting dramatic, share the simple dignity of yourself in each moment of your triumphs, your failures, your satisfaction and your sorrows. Face your embarrassment at being human. There you will uncover a deep well of passion and compassion. It’s a great power, 'Another Secret'. When your heart is undefendable you make it safe for whomever you meet to put down his/her burden of hiding. Then you both can walk through open door unmasked with light heart and travel with ease.Know that there is a world of 'compassion' arounds you..Aware of that and get ready to enjoy your journey. Because it’s your birth right..!

Have a smooth and pleasant journey of life ahead....Cheers....!

Pearls Of Tears...!

Tears are the symbol of the inability of the soul
to restrain its emotion and retain its self command.

The tears fall, they are so easy to wipe off onto my sleeve,
But... how do I erase the stain from my heart...??

Are You Truly Beautiful...?

When I was looking for a new topic to post on my blog..as usual I went blank. Suddenly an interesting question popped up into my mind. I asked "What is it that we all get carried away so easily?" .... To my surprise an answer quickly came as well. Its 'BEAUTY'. Yess!!!..BEAUTY is something people get attracted instantly & Beauty is something we all crave to possess secretly. Knowingly or unknowingly we tend to look for that aspect in our lives everywhere. What's beauty..? We all know beauty is something which touches our heart & soul in an unusual way.We may sometimes find it difficult to describe what beauty actually is.

Since beauty holds an important part in today's world, naturally we all want to look good and get appreciated by others in all possible means. We dont even hesitate to spend a fortune on clothes, cosmetics, diet, gym and even cosmetic surgeries to get physically attractive. We dedicate our efforts and time to achieve that which clearly shows how badly everyone wants to be beautiful.

But let me ask you all..what about our mind..? Do we make any effort to have a 'Beautiful Mind'?.. Or do we actually realise the importance of equally having a beautiful mind along with a beautiful body & face? I wonder...!! An underlying fact is that the most beautiful person can be unattractive withouot a beautiful mind and vice versa.

Well we all are born with certain shape of face and body structure. There is only a certain amount we can do to make them more appealing. But there is much more that we can do to make our mind more beautiful. Only few are born lucky with beautiful features. Dont you think it wil be utterly tragic if they dont enhance their beauty with a beautiful mind? A beautiful person might get attention from public, but without a beautiful mind will it lasts for a long time ? Because great physical beauty with a Boring Mind can be a great turn off to anyone. As we age our physical beauty tends to get fade. But beauty of mind does not fade with age.Infact it can become ever more beautiful with wisdom and experience. But those who are not so blessed with physical beauty need not to worry much. Because you can make yourself more attractive with a beautiful mind.

Well you may ask what 'Beauty Of Mind' is?.. How can we possess a Beautiful Mind?..

If you ever noticed, you might realise that those who are basically a good listener, less argumentative, humourous, pleasant and approachable, loving, helping and compassionate, simple and less hypocritic, are the one with whom we would wish to spend time with..why it is so..? Because it is a proof that above things can do wonders to ones over all personality.Along with this if you genuinely know how to converse beautifully then it will cleary shows you have a beautiful mind.

One wont have a beautiful mind by sitting in a corner and having beautiful thoughts. What matters is how beautifully your mind thinks and how beautifully you put it in your conversation. For that one doesnt need an innate intelligence and general knowledge, all it needs is creativity, imagination and empathy.A beautiful mind can easily conquer the hearts of many, irrespective of the fact that how you look physically.Just as how people can look at physical beauty they can listen to the beauty of one's mind. What matters is how you use your mind to present your self..

So Friends...'Do you want to be truly beautiful '..?
Then get ready for a 'Mind Makeover' and see the miracle...!

Good luck..!!

Behind Those Beautiful Eyes...!

Her eyes is being created amazingly. You should read about her life. Having those beautiful precious eyes doesn’t mean having a beautiful life.

Sharbat Gula, whose portrait was taken by Steve McCurry in a refugee camp in Peshawar Pakistan. As for Ms Sharbat Gula herself, upon seing every one says..what eyes! The beauty of her, is her, dusty tanned looking face, not groomed, showing the stories of her life, the hardship endured, at sucha young age, living through times when her parents were killed in an invasion, and then leaving her homeland crossing into Pukhtunkhwa, just days before the picture was shot.

During American war on Afganistan...in the shade of an open tent flap, photographer Steve McCurry immortalized the haunted eyes of a 12-year-old refugee in a camp on the Afghanistan-Pakistan border. The girl piercing green eyes, shocked with hints of blue and fear, gave away her story. Soviet helicopters destroyed her village and family, forcing her to make a two-week trek out of the perilous mountains of Afghanistan.

Dear readers.... we all are so excited of having that someone special in our life and we often love to share that joy with everyone..But have you ever wondered of sharing the love with your parents especially with the one who give birth to you?...A mother is so precious and so lovely and she is the most beautiful, wonderful women in this world.

I’ve been reading through many blogs and there are many who rather post about their love between boyfriend and girlfriend. Rarely I see people who update their blog about their gorgeous mother. Except on MOTHER’S DAY! It’s saddening that people remember and talk about their mother during that special day which falls on 11th May of each year. But today, let me tell you that Mother’s Day does fall on everyday. No matter how far the distance between your mother and yourself, that does not matter anyway. But she is your heart and she is your life. She is the one who took lots of pain & tribulations to help you grow to a person who can face world with immense confidence. So everyonoe dare to call 'MOTHER' a living god. But do you treasure her love as much as she treasured your loves towards her?

So, kindly sit back and relax and think upon it over and over again for those who have conflicts with their own sweet mother. Giving birth to you is not easy as you grow older. Giving birth to you is like fighting with death just to live to see you grow maturely. To see you hold those high qualifications of certs into your hand. To see you smiling happily with what she has tried so hard in giving you the best. To see you reach for the stars above. But she has never tried praying just to see you cry and feel regret with what you had done to her. Leaving her with full of tears. Making her felt so tired giving birth to you and never give chances in giving her the pleasure all those while you’re seeing her in your life. Until… she is gone to another world…

Readers…lets celeberate every day 'Mother's Day' because she deserves our ove as much she gives us unconditionally..

Our Mother is always with us…. She’s the joy inside our laughter. And she is the pain of every tear drop in our eyes. She is the place you came from, your first home and she is the one who help us to take our first step. She is your first love and your first heartbreak, and nothing on earth can separate you. Not time....Not space…Not even death....!

There is only 'One Pretty Child' in the world and 'Every Mother Has It'..!
MAY WE NEVER TAKE OUR MOTHERS FOR GRANTED…!!!

Cheers....!

The word SMILE automatically brings a smile to most of our faces...A smile is ofcourse infectious and surely touches our heart...And we are the only living body who are gifted with such a beautiful expression..

Smiling add more value to one’s face. It completely changes the expression.A sincere smile which should starts from the lips and reaches to the eyes. It happens when a person is happy and satisfied within its heart, that it automatically exudes glow on the face. It speaks worth a thousand words.

Sadly few people have that way of smiling and most of the time we only get to see plastic smiles that adorn lips. Smiling eyes speak a lot. At times we express the pleasantness with just a smiling eye only.

Though we all know the importance of smiling in our life but how many truly realise the need to smile which affects us mentally and socially in a positive way..?

So lets make it to a point to smile whenever possible and help spread the pleasantness among our lives within our fellow beings.. Be it moments of glory or sadness, always put up a smiling face. It might be difficult to do it at times of hurt but remember, if you smile the world smiles with you and if you cry, no one will cry with you. Not a fake but a genuine smile is what touches everyone’s heart. The more you reach out to the world the better your value is worth.

Because, a smile is a smile is a smile....Cheers !!!

Jatinga...Phenomenon..!

Nature's another mystery which is yet to decode...!

As usual while surfing I came across with a nature's strange phenomenon which touched my heart in an unusual way. Thought it may interest many so posting it on my blog..

Jatinga, a beautiful tribal village in the North Cachar Hills district (Assam), is famous for the bizarre phenomenon of annual ritual of migratory "birds committing mass suicide". Unbelievable ? This phenomenon remains a mystery at Jatinga, that has baffled ornithologists for more than a century now.

At the end of monsoon months, mysterious behaviour of birds takes place. During moonless and foggy dark nights between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. the flocks of birds plunging to their deaths by crashing from sky to the ground with no prior warning whatsoever..This phenomenon is not confined to a single species. Tiger Bittern, Black Bittern, Little Egret, Pond Heron, Indian Pitta and Kingfishers all being affected.

Popular Hypothesis :-

The weather conditions make changes in the electro-magnetic characteristics of the Jatinga ridge. The ridge is bounded nearly on all sides by fault planes. This combined with the mineral content of the valley with its high magnetic properties could be responsible for certain geo-physical changes in the atmosphere here. These are enhanced during the monsoon months of September and October when the ground water comes up almost to the ridge top of Jatinga. All these are believed to cause certain unusual changes in the gravitational pull around the region. The cause of it is likely to be disorientation at high altitudes and high speed winds due to the widespread fog characteristic at the time and disturb the physiological rhythm of the local birds and they start behaving abnormally towards the sources of light lit by villagers. Conservation groups and wildlife officials in India have taken steps to prevent this wanton killing of the birds, creating awareness in the illiterate villagers. Since then, the amount of birds killed have decreased by about 40 percent.

However, no single hypothesis comprehensively explains the Jatinga mystery and research still going on to unravel the real cause behind this un-natural phenomenon. Whatever the reason, now Jatinga is one of the hot tourist spot because of this rare happenings..

Life's Tip...!

The pleasantest things in the world are pleasant thoughts..
The great art of life is to have as many of them as possible...!

Jai Hind...!!

In our day to day life most of us used to get irritated of even the slightest discomforts which we face and end up complicating and exaggerating about it to our capacity. Our tolerance and patience has gone down to such an extend that unknowingly we make our life more miserable... Many at times what we dont realise is what really is worth a complain.. Here is an article I happened to read recently which touced me deeply and helped to me to see life in a different perspective..So thought I would post it in my blog which may like many as I did..

Vinodh Pradhan was not a happy man. Even the plush comfort of the air-conditioned compartment of the Shatabdi express could not cool his frayed nerves. He was the Project Manager and still not entitled to air travel. It was not the prestige he sought, he had tried to reason with the admin person, it was the savings in time. As PM, he had so many things to do. He opened his case and took out the laptop, determined to put the time to some good use.

"Are you from the software industry sir," the man beside him was staring appreciatively at the laptop.

Vinodh glanced briefly and mumbled in affirmation, handling the laptop now with exaggerated care and importance as if it were an expensive car.

"You people have brought so much advancement to the country, Sir. Today everything is getting computerized."

"Thanks," smiled Vinodh, turning around to give the man a look.

He always found it difficult to resist appreciation. The man was young and well built like a sportsman. He looked simple and strangely out of place in that little lap of luxury like a small town boy in a prep school. He probably was a railway sportsman making the most of his free traveling pass.

"You people always amaze me," the man continued, "You sit in an office and write something on a computer and it does so many big things outside."

Vinodh smiled deprecatingly. Naiveness demanded reasoning not anger.
"It is not as simple as that my friend. It is not just a question of writing a few lines. There is a lot of process that goes behind it."

For a moment, he was tempted to explain the entire Software Development Lifecycle but restrained himself to a single statement. "It is complex, very complex."

"It has to be. No wonder you people are so highly paid," came the reply.

This was not turning out as Vinodh had thought. A hint of belligerence crept into his so far affable, persuasive tone.

"Everyone just sees the money. No one sees the amount of hard work we have to put in". Indians have such a narrow concept of hard work. Just because we sit in an air-conditioned office, does not mean our brows do not sweat. You exercise the muscle; we exercise the mind and believe me that is no less taxing." He could see, he had the man where he wanted, and it was time to drive home the point.

"Let me give you an example. Take this train. The entire railway reservation system is computerized. You can book a train ticket between any two stations from any of the hundreds of computerized booking centres across the country. Thousands of transactions accessing a single database, at a time concurrently; data integrity, locking, data security. Do you understand the complexity in designing and coding such a system?"

The man was awestuck; quite like a child at a planetarium. This was something big and beyond his imagination. "You design and code such things."

"I used to," Vinodh paused for effect, "but now I am the Project Manager."

"Oh!" sighed the man, as if the storm had passed over, "so your life is easy now."

This was like the last straw for Vinodh. He retorted, "Oh come on, does life ever get easy as you go up the ladder. Responsibility only brings more work. Design and coding! That is the easier part. Now I do not do it, but I am responsible for it and believe me, that is far more stressful. My job is to get the work done in time and with the highest quality. To tell you about the pressures, there is the customer at one end, always changing his requirements, the user at the other, wanting something else, and your boss, always expecting you to have finished it yesterday."

Vinodh paused in his diatribe, his belligerence fading with self-realisation. What he had said, was not merely the outburst of a wronged man, it was the truth. And one need not get angry while defending the truth. "My friend," he concluded triumphantly, "you don't know what it is to be in the Line of Fire".

The man sat back in his chair, his eyes closed as if in realization. When he spoke after sometime, it was with a calm certainty that surprised Vinodh.

"I know sir, I know what it is to be in the Line of Fire." He was staring blankly, as if no passenger, no train existed, just a vast expanse of time.

"There were 30 of us when we were ordered to capture Point 4875 in t cover of the night. The enemy was firing from the top. There was no knowing where the next bullet was going to come from and for whom. In the morning when we finally hoisted the tricolour at the top only 4 of us were alive."

"You are a...?"

"I am Subedar Sushant from the 13 J&K Rifles on duty at Peak 4875 in Kargil. They tell me I have completed my term and can opt for a soft assignment. But, tell me sir, can one give up duty just because it makes life easier. On the dawn of that capture, one of my colleagues lay injured in the snow, open to enemy fire while we were hiding behind a bunker. It was my job to go and fetch that soldier to safety. But my captain sahib refused me permission and went ahead himself. He said that the first pledge he had taken as a Gentleman Cadet was to put the safety and welfare of the nation foremost followed by the safety and welfare of the men he commanded...his own personal safety came last, always and every time." "He was killed as he shielded and brought that injured soldier into the bunker. Every morning thereafter, as we stood guard, I could see him taking all those bullets, which were actually meant for me. I know sir....I know, what it is to be in the Line of Fire."

Vinodh looked at him in disbelief not sure of how to respond. Abruptly, he switched off the laptop. It seemed trivial, even insulting to edit a Word document in the presence of a man for whom valour and duty was a daily part of life; valour and sense of duty which he had so far attributed only to epical heroes.

The train slowed down as it pulled into the station, and Subedar Sushant picked up his bags to alight. "It was nice meeting you sir."

Vinodh fumbled with the handshake. This hand... had climbed mountains, pressed the trigger, and hoisted the tricolour. Suddenly, as if by impulse, he stood up at attention and his right hand went up in an impromptu salute. It was the least he felt he could do for the country.

The incident he narrated during the capture of Peak 4875 is a true incident during the Kargil war. Capt.Batra sacrificed his life while trying to save one of the men he commanded, as victory was within sight. For this and various other acts of bravery, he was awarded the Param Vir Chakra, the nation's highest military award.

'Live Humbly' ...There are many great people around us, let us learn that..!!!!

Topic Worth A Debate...!

Do Ghosts exist?..Or do you believe in their existence..? I know, this is quite a weird question to be asked. Was debating with myself, whether to put up this subject on my blog or not. But finally decided to go ahead with it as I always do wonder on this question..

During my childhood after watching some horror movies, I used to get scared by having some bizarre thoughts or remembrance from the movie. Though I try to convince myself saying that, I am not scared of ghosts and I dont believe in their existence.Well, amidst all these my conscious & rational mind says that there is nothing known as ghost or spirit & such things don’t exist at all. On the other hand my same rational mind debates that if we can believe in God then why can’t in Ghost? For such a thought I do have my own logical points, as in this unviverse everything exists in 2 extreme conditions and that's how universe balances each things..like white/black, summer/winter, glad/sad, heaven/hell, god/devil etc..
Now one side of this debate..

I hapened to read/hear that many do believe that there exists Good and Bad spirits..It says there are worlds surrounding us but we can not see them with our naked eye same as we can not see air/micro organism with our eyes..Those who died in accident/murder and left with many unfinished tasks to perform when they were alive became ghosts. Some even says places like Gangotri, Gomukh, and deep interior Himalayas we can even experince the existence of these spirits..

And some scientific revelations..

'GHOSTS' are spirits of people that have been caught between this plane of existence and the next. They are intelligent beings, often capable of interacting with the living. "A ghost is a human being who has passed out of the physical body, usually in a traumatic state and is not aware usually of his/her true condition. We are all spirits encased in a physical body. At the time of passing, our spirit body continues into the next dimension. A ghost, on the other hand, due to trauma, is stuck in our physical world and needs to be released to go on." says veteran ghost hunter Hans Holzer.

'HAUNTINGS' are recordings of an event on an environment, means it is a fragment or portion of an actual event. A traumatic moment in time leaves an indelible impression on the area, 'replaying itself for eternity'. This could be anything from a 'glimpse of the past' - a recreation of some traumatic or emotion-laden event to footsteps up and down a hallway, or laughter is heard echoing in a specific surrounding. What causes these recordings to be made and how and why they are played back is a mystery, says Strange Nation.

Now as conclusion I am not agreeing or disagreeing the existence of Ghosts as there are many phenomenons in this universe which is beyond our understandings and I would like to leave this subject to each of your own beliefs..

'Human Aura'

Today's post is about Human Aura..We all know that our bodies are more complex than we can perceive with our five senses. Basically our body is composed of various particles and waves of energies.

Its discovered that human body have a luminous magnetic energy field that surrounds the body is known as HUMAN AURA. Though this aura extends several feet out from it but people cant see the aura with the naked eye. However, it says that with training anyone can see the glimpses of it.The aura might be explained scientifically as an electromagnetic or a biomagnetic field that extends some distance around our physical being. But whatever it might be, there is strong evidence that an aura exists around each of us and each one's aura is different from one another. Believers say that the colors of the aura can reveal a person's nature and each color of the aura has a precise meaning, indicating a precise emotional state. According to our moods, health, emotional state and spiritual power the colour changes too.

Here is some examples.. Sometimes when we enter into a room we may feel some kind of uncomfortableness. What we are sensing at that moment is the inherit energy that exudes from the room and the energy in other individuals' auras. It may explain why we tend to be drawn to some people and put off by others. We are always surrounded by energy coming from everything, including plants, man-made materials, human beings, animals even from various thoughts .

Four important auras which we have are Etheric Aura, Emotional Aura, Mental Aura, Astral Aura. The nearest to our body is Etheric Aura which is about 2 inches from our body and denotes the physical condition(health) of body. Next is Emotional Aura which is within 2 inches to 4 inches associate with our feelings .Then comes Mental Aura which is between 4 to 8 inches which shows the thought process and comes Astral Aura which is about 8 to 12 inches from physical body shows the spiritual power of each person.

Buddha, Krishna, Jesus and some saints are known to possess powerful personal energy fields with their spirituality and emanating a splendour of glorious light.

Semyon Kirlian, a Russian electronics expert, discovered a technique in the late 1930's that enabled him to photograph the human aura known as Kirlian photography. Here is a Kirlian Photography of fingers showing aura.

'SERENDIPITY'

How many had heard about the word 'Serendipity'..? I am sure many must have heard it before if not definetely must have deal with the complicated word 'Destiny/ Fate/ Coincidence' in our life and used to wonder what it is all about...

But before I get into the nerve of the subject, let me tell you that there is one beautiful romantic movie 'Serendipity' directed by Peter Chelsom & written by Marc Klein. It is about a man and a woman who meet by a stroke of fate, and how fate brings them together finally. So if anyone missed seeing this movie can surely watch the beautiful picturisation of 'Serendipity' on screen.

Now we all know whenever an uncanny moment happens or when something happens that gives us goose pimples we say 'What A Coincidence' ! In other words what we experience the very moment is called a 'Serendipity'.

In our day to day life we happen to experience this so often..like thinking of someone and then soon you get a call/mail from that person or talking about someone and then they show up happens a lot. Doesn't it? Life is an ongoing story and we never know why things are unfolding in the way they do.

Sometimes, we miss a bus/train/flight and keep on cursing . But to our utter shock, we may realize later that we have been escaped a bizarre accident when we missed the trip. On the fateful day of 9/11 many must have escaped the World Trade Centre attack in this way. You can never tell, “why strange things happen. Often things we consider to be terrible plights are blessings in disguise.

We often wonder about serendipity, when things happen so strangely yet so perfectly that it leaves us scratching our heads with the feeling that there is somebody out there pulling the strings? Is it a Coincidence or God's Invisible Intervention or was it really meant to happen? How do you interpret it? What coincidences have influenced in our life so far?

If things happen for a reason then that THING which is meant to happen happens. Especially when it is part of our destiny and appears to us to be merely a coincidence or even as an accident. Whatever path you are on in life and whether you believe in serendipity or not, you will find that in truth, there is much we can't predict. Sure, we can set goals and create our own futures but there will always be instances we have no control over.

Till date does anyone know the future with absolute precision? Is serendipity destiny or just pure coincidence? You decide...but life surely has a wonderful way of making things happen and change your life in a particular way..

Beautiful Abyss..!

For thousands of years, our observations of the beauty of sea were confined to what we can observe from the seashore. But how beautiful sea is from deep down with awesome coral reefs & fishes..Here is a look..!

The coral reefs make the amazing underworld park. Did you know that some fishes make the coral reefs their permanent home and never leave them? Some fishes live in the holes or cracks amongst the coral reef and some fishes hide in them too!

A Human Mystery...!

'STIGMATA'...One of the most rare human mystery an unresolved religious phenomenon. The word stigmata comes from the Greek term stigma, which means "mark." In Christianity, it is believed that some people develop wounds on each hand & feet just like those received by Jesus when he was crucified. It is believed that these marks are signs from God that the person suffering from them is holy. Some stigmatics feel the pain of wounds with no external marks, these are referred to as 'Invisible Stigmata'. In other cases, stigmata are accompanied by extreme pain. Some stigmatics' wounds do not appear to clot, and stay fresh and uninfected, the blood from the wounds is said, in some cases, to have a pleasant, perfumed odor.

Saint Francis (1182-1226), founder of the Franciscan order of monks, is the first person recorded to have shown stigmata . The feast of the Stigmata of St. Francis is kept on 17 September. An Italian preist, Padre Pio (1887-1968) is one of a famous 'stigmatic'. It is said that Padre Pio bore the perfume smelling wounds for about 50 yrs and surprisingly the wound began healing and all evidence of the wounds disappeared days before he died. On June 16, 2002, Padre Pio is canonized by Pope John Paul and became St.Padre Pio.

There are lots of scepticism on the authencity of stigmatic wounds. Interestingly no case of stigmata is known to have occurred before the thirteenth century, when the crucified Jesus became a standard icon of Christianity in the west. But so far more than 300 people claim to have suffered the stigmata. The bizarre phenomena of the stigmata remain unexplainable any time soon, as those who suffer from it are still few and far between. The stigmata remains one of the strangest and most frightening phenomena noted in the annals of the paranormal.

Why It Is So...?

Sometimes I wonder how different each one's life from one another yet the taste of tear is alike for everyone..Same way how different one person is from the other and yet all are so alike when dealing with similar situations.

"Break-ups" one of the most scary words. How it feels having no right on someone, who was all yours, just a while ago. Breaking up of relationships, trust, dreams, homes or anything, which was once build with a lot of love , respect & trust by two or more people. How much emotions they would have put into it, giving it a shape and then someday, due to something, it broke-up.

You never know, when someone would change. The person you met a year ago does not remain the same, a year later. Someone whom you had trusted and loved most at some point of time, becomes a stranger. Friends, you used to bank on heavily, fail to keep up the promise anymore. You can not talk to him/her, can not hug him/her, can not adore him/her, whenever you want..because he/she does not belong to you anymore. As if people are a part of property and your stake has ended in him/her.

Though, with time, people come out of all the traumas, but it certainly leaves an ugly scar, somewhere. They become a different person, either a rebel or an apprehensive forever. Either they refuse to accept any relation in their life.. or they become so much emotionally dependent, pushing themselves on the path of many more break-ups.

And who else can capture the essence of this agony than the great Gulzar.

"Haath chootein bhi to rishte nahi choda karte…
Waqt ki shaakh se lamhe nahi thoda karte,
Jisne pairon ke nishaan bhi nahi chode peeche,

Us musafir ka.. pata bhi nahi poocha karate,
Choot gaye yaar, na chooti yaari, maula.

Tune awaaz nahi dee kabhi mudh kar warna,
Hum kayee sadiyaan..

Tujhe ghoom ke dekha karte,
Haath choote bhi to rishte nahi choda karte... "

'Thank You'.....A Wonderful Expression..!

Well how many amoung us often use these 2 words 'THANK YOU' in our life..?

I bring this topic up because each day that goes by we tend to do various things for others or help in someway without hearing these two simple words ‘Thank You’. Its a fact that there wont be anyone in this world who really dont want to be appreciated by others when we deserves to be appreciated..Hearing these two simple words ‘Thank You’ can evoke a sense of acknowledgment or appreciation.

In a relationship its very important to acknowledge. But these two words can be easily forgotten to be said or used without sincerity. Not feeling valued or feeling unappreciated can negatively impact one’s relationship. Relationships can be improved when one is cognizant of their efforts in displaying gratitude, appreciation, and encouragement. Often, it is easier to focus on negative aspects in a relationship; however, saying ‘Thank You’, ‘Great Dinner’, ‘I love the way…’, etc can bring a greater response . Ongoing gratitude and appreciation can strengthen any relationship which could offset times of arguments and conflicts because gratitude creates the most wonderful feeling..

Expressing gratitude and appreciation is a great tool that could improve your relationships. I ask you now to take this time to think of the people who are supportive and appreciated of you. I ask this of you because people can easily go unnoticed for their efforts, support and encouragement. I hope that this insight on the importance of appreciation, gratitude and saying ‘thank you’ inspires or reminds to say ‘thank you’ in the near future..It does not take much to make someone feel valued.

"Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it." Said by William Arthur Ward..So lets start saying 'Thank You' sincerely and liberally in our day to day life and lets see what great difference it can bring to our relationships..

Have You Ever...?

Have you ever wondered which hurts the most..saying something and wishing you had not or saying nothing and wishing you had..?

Have you ever denied your feelings for someone because..your fear of rejection was too hard to handle..?

Contentment..A Real Blessing..!

In our life we must have heard many times the word Contentment..But I used to wonder well how many among us really understsand the meaning and importance of being contented with oneself and ones life...I doubt.

It says that contentment could be derived from various resources of what life has to offer. It could be in the form of people, things or circumstances in one’s life. But I am asking you..are we contented with what we have? Or does it lie in the material things that we desire so much to possess? What is it in being contented with? What we have with us or that is around us? Do we need to fulfill all our desires, always?

In life actually I have experienced..what it is like to fall over and over again and still manage to recuperate from it and ready to take on the world. Each experience has taught me something new to learn from and adapt to it in my daily life. So no dissatisfactions to crib about as of now and definitely trying to enjoy whichever way my life is flowing. I know I am not talking something new here as each one of us may have gone through similar mind-boggling and life-changing experiences to relate to. If given a chance to glance back on life’s journey, for most of us, it would still be a fresh memory. One may simply smile off with a shrug that it wasn’t that a bad experience to cling on.. But at times we deliberately, tend to miss out on the goodness of it and brood more over the displeasures that caused that situation.

Amidst all these, at times I feel contented with my life and sometimes I dont miss anything at all..When I see things or people around me, it doesn’t seem to make an impact on me as a being. I wonder why? Am I not human being or is that I am impeccable or absolutely flawless.? By saying so may be I'm trying to justify my actions or glorifying self unpropotionatelty or I could be trying to shirk away from my trueself or the expectations from myself including my family and friends who look upon me trustingly to see me succeeding..? But the fact is I don’t try to stop myself from sailing along as I know there will be many pleasant things/unpleasant things that I shall come across en route. Because somewhere I realise the neccessity to be contented with my life ..so striving for a little more attainment in a blissful way, which I see as a genuine need for a better quality of one’s life. Many life has changed by walking on a humble and spiritual path. Setbacks of life should be always a experimental learning path to take us ahead in a mature way.

I happened to read a few beautiful lines somewhere, which touched me deeply. It said, “Success is getting what you like; and satisfaction is enjoying what you get. Excatly, satisfaction can only be derived from contentment only. In other words 'Contentment' is not the fulfillment of what you want, but the realization of how much you already have.. Another thought provoking reality is that rejoice in everything that you have, instead of pondering about what is missing. Be grateful for it but do go ahead and work on what it is not, yet in a humble way. These are such thoughtful and beautiful lines to rely on..

I believe that the best way of remaining content is to simplify one’s life by doing what one feels is right and what makes ones life happy. Fewer desires, less complexities. But same time achieve what you once desired without completely denying, yet be contented with what one has without losing one’s charm and dignity...

Flowers...!

Flowers are always one of my favourite in my wishlist and nothing capture my heart like flowers do..As I think about flowers and see or inhale its pure fragrance, it makes my heart glorify with happiness. I think there wont be anyone in this whole world who wont like flowers..

How eloquently flowers can speak the language of love... perhaps nothing can convey the way flowers do in such a natural & simple way.. because it is so delicate & beautiful like love...But how many of you get chance to say it with flowers and mean them? Frankly speaking I never had that many opportunities to either say it. Though deep inside, my heart has always longed for it or waited for that opportunity to make that someone feel special about their existence in my life.

Flowers and new born babies are very much alike. Both can be groomed and moulded as you like it. All it requires our love, care and patience in trying to make them what we ever wanted them to be. Flowers have an empowering affect on people’s lives. They bring joy and excitement when given or received during weddings, anniversaries, birthdays. A symbol of love to be cherished forever. They also provide utmost comfort when you miss your loved ones.

Shakespeare once said..."A Rose will still smell as sweet, with whatever name you may call it”..Yes, how true it is..!!!
